Today I want to write about My Fiji Islands Trip. Located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, The Fiji Islands, known as the happiness on earth, consists of 322 islands and 522 islands, 215 of which are deserted.
Two major islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, constitute 87% of the settlement.
To come this ıslands and spend a nice holiday decorates the dreams of young couples. On this paradise island, you can do diving and trekking trips. For the photographers, I’m talking about an island with spectacular scenes.
And it doesn’t end here! I cant forget my friendly Fijians inhabit this islands. Islanders are famous for their hospitality and warmth. All of them are keepers of ıslands culture.

How to get to Fiji
Fiji is not as far away as it is thought and getting here is really easy. Islands are nestled in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean so the best way to get here by airlines. National airline Fiji Airways has regular direct flights from many international destinations ( USA (5-10 hours); San Francisco, Los Angeles and Honolulu Asia (9-10 hours); Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore and Hong Kong Australia (4-6 hours): Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane ) New Zeland (3 hours); Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch.
Qantas, Jetstar, Air New Zealand, Korean Air, Virgin Australia, Air Niugini, Air Vanuatu, Aircalin and Our Airlines fly to Fiji also.
The main gateway to the Fiji is Nadi International Airport. It’s on the island of Viti Levu. As a traveller, you can fly from here to the several domestic airports throughout the islands.
Travellers arriving from most countries will automatically receive a 4-month visa upon arrival. All you need is a 6 months valid passport and a return ticket.
Nadi International Airport is not in capital city Suva so If you need a ride, this would take approximately 4 hours from Nadi Airport to Suva City with a car or taxi. Airport transfer between Nadi International Airport to Nausori (Suva) Airport is another option for 30 minutes.

Nadi is a beautiful town and the gateway to Fiji on Viti Levu’s west coast and has a big range of on and off the water activities. All travelers to Fiji are sure to come here. Since it is close to the International Airport, transportation to and from here is also very easy.

You can take off-road vehicle tours or visit Port Denarau for a day trip to the beatiful Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands.

Getting around Nadi is easy and cheap. There’s a good network of buses for travel. Hiring a car is a good way to explore Nadi and around resorts.

Geting here, first you need a 10 minute car or taxi transfer from Nausori (Suva) Airport to Nakelo. After arrival, 35 minutes boat ride to the Toberua.

You can get to Island by water or air with regular flights and ferries from Viti Levu.
Fiji Airways operates between many of the islands. But flights are less regular to the outer islands. Yachting or cruising are the other options to get Taveuni. Helicopter or seaplane is another options.

What and Where to eat at Fiji
Dinner is usually taken early by 9 pm on the Island. Tavioka and dalo roots, boiled or baked fish and seafood are the basic elements of Fijian Cuisine. Meat is usually serviced as fried with dalo.
You can drinks as Fiji Beer named Fiji Gold and Fiji Bitter. Local rum produced from the sugar is also available. Island’s most famous drink is yaqona. Also sugarcane juice or pineapple juice are preferred drinks.
You can eat at Indian and Chinese in towns. They are cheap and has a mix of Indian and Chinese cuisine. There are Italian and Japanese restorants also in Suva, Nadi and Denarau.
