On this occasion, I will introduce you to “La Caleta del Inca”, a small cove on the south coast of Peru, bathed by the generous waters of the Pacific Ocean.
La Caleta del Inca Trip
La Caleta del Inca is located in the district of Ocoña, belonging to the coastal province of Camana, department of Arequipa in Peru, is located three hours from the city of Arequipa, capital of the department of the same name and 14 hours from the city of Lima, capital of Peru.
As for the name of the cove, residents of the area told us that in pre-Hispanic times, the Inca
sovereign spent part of the summer in this place, but there is no historical information about
it.
Temperature and Climate
With ambient temperatures ranging from 15 ° C in winter and the highest between 25 ° and 28 ° C in summer, this cove becomes a perfect destination for nature lovers.

On the way to La Caleta del Inca
Gabriel and I left from the city of Arequipa. On the way to Ocoña at the beginning of March, we hired a taxi, which took three hours to arrive
40 minutes before arriving at our destination you pass through extensive rice fields, which give a pleasant view to the road.

The green of its waters is due to the presence of plankton, the waters of the Peruvian sea are very rich in hydrobiological resources which makes them a paradise for seabirds.
Adjacent to the inlet is a beautiful beach of fine sand. In which you can camp taking everything you need, you will be far from light pollution, without more noise than nature.
La Caleta del Inca does not have hotel services, but yes, food based on fish and seafood is sold in the
rustic and cozy establishment of Mrs. Liliana.
