La Angostura Village Trip
This marvellous village surrounded by lakes, woods and mountains is located in the north of Nahuel Huapi National Park.
It lays just halfway between the cities of San Martín de los Andes and Bariloche so after staying some days in San Martín de los Ande or Bariloche, it is a good idea is to take a bus and go to this beautiful village which is 110 km away.
Or you can take catamaran to get around Nahuel Huapi Lake.
Just located 40 km away from the Chile border with through the Cardenal Antonio Samoré Pass linked Osorno, it forms a popular tourist corridor during all seasons.
It is considered one of the prettiest of Cordillera Patagonia. It is known for its wood houses of architectural alpine style.
Surrounding mountains range about 1,500-2,000 m and the village is about 700 m above sea level. The general climate of the village is like in the Alps. Summers are sunny (18 °C-25 °C) and winters are cold (2 °C- 9 °C).
If you are in La Angostura village and you love water sports, you have to go to Manzano Port on the shore of Nahuel Huapi Lake. Here you can admire Brava and Mansa Bay.
On the west side is Nahuel Huapi Lake and to the north Lake Correntoso.
The lakes are connected by the Correntoso River, which is 200 m long and is best for fishing.
When you visit this village you can’t miss eating the delicious trout cooked in many different ways. See you on my new trips..
