How to get to Keukenhof Gardens
Keukenhof is 40 km west of Amsterdam. The easiest way to get to gardens is by a bus from Schiphol Airport.
You can go to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport by train from the center of Amsterdam and take the number 858 buses that depart from Terminal 3 and go to Keukenhof. There are tulip photos on the buses. Your bus journey will take approximately 40-45 minutes.
It is of course possible to come here by renting a car or by your own car, it takes about 45 minutes from Amsterdam. If you are coming with your car, I recommend you to visit the nearby windmill village Kinderdijk.
Visit Time and Fees for Keukenhof Gardens
The gardens open on March 21, but I suggest you come in the second week of April/mid April, because when Keukenhof opens, there are only hyacinths. The best time for tulips is mid-April.
Between these dates, the park is open to visitors every day for two months, from 08.00 in the morning to 19.30 in the evening. The last entries can be made at 18:00.
The royal ceremony on April 25th, Thursday, Friday and weekends are the busiest days of the park. Apart from these days, the park becomes calmer.
Also, if you arrange your visit before 11.00 in the morning or after 15.00 in the afternoon, you will travel more comfortably as the density will be relatively low.

The History of Keukenhof Gardens
It was a coincidence in 1562 that Holland, the number one tulip exporter in the world, met the tulip. A merchant who took fabric bales by ship to Answers saw tulip bulbs in the bales.
