The ticket office of Keukenhof Gardens, which is open for about 1.5 months throughout the year, can be busy when it is not very early in the morning or close to closing. For this reason, you can wait for long queues to enter when booking in advance and not buying tickets on the internet. We will suggest you 2 types of entrance tickets in order to use your travel time efficiently. Our recommendation for tickets is to purchase through Tiqets, a global and reliable web page.

1- Keukenhof Express Entry Ticket + Departure and Return from Amsterdam (Click):

The first reason for this online ticket is that it includes transportation (round trip + return) to Keukenhof, located approximately 40 km from Amsterdam. You can get to the Keukenhof from the airport or from the stops in Amsterdam (such as the Rijksmuseum Stop), get on the buses included in the ticket, and enter the gardens with the same ticket.

2- Keukenhof Express Entry Ticket (Click):

Unlike our first ticket, this ticket allows you to enter Keukenhof quickly by just reading your mobile barcode without losing a long time at the ticket office. Transportation is not included.

The History of Keukenhof Gardens

It was a coincidence in 1562 that Holland, the number one tulip exporter in the world, met the tulip. A merchant who took fabric bales by ship to Answers saw tulip bulbs in the bales. He thought these were normal onions and planted them in his own garden. He learned the truth with the opening of his flowers next year.

During the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent, Ambassador of Austria-Hungary Busbecq took tulip bulbs with him on his return to Vienna. He gives the onions to Clusius, who made the landscape of the imperial gardens. Clusius is growing tulips in Vienna. Later, when he went to the city of Leiden in the Netherlands, he continued to grow tulips here.

After these 2 events, the Netherlands learns to grow tulips.
